Individual Therapy
Our team of psychologists, counselors and social workers are here to guide you on your path to recovery and help you reach your goals. Therapy can be difficult to define because it means different things to each person. Your therapist will collaborate with you to identify goals and help you achieve them through a variety of evidence-based practices and strategies, guiding you to a better emotional place.
-
Co-Occurring Treatment
Co-Occurring services at Portage Path Behavioral Health are designed to help those experiencing mental illness and substance use disorders to take control of their recovery and return more quickly to their best possible life, with few relapses. Portage Path Behavioral Health offers both individual and group therapy programs for our co-occurring clients.
-
Medication Management
What separates Portage Path from other providers? We have the unique ability to coordinate client therapy and medication through Genoa Pharmacy, located inside our Akron clinic. We have a large team of psychiatrists and advanced practice nurse practitioners who work closely to make sure treatment is effective and affordable.
-
Case Management (CPST)
We offer case management services, also called Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) to help clients manage multiple life and health issues so they can focus on their emotional issues during individual therapy. CPST helps support the client with agency and community resources along their journey in the recovery process.
-
Peer Support
Our Certified Peer Recovery Supporters promote healthy lifestyle changes through lived experience of a mental health or substance use disorder. Ask your Peer Supporter about The Zen Den; a peer support wellness and resource space made possible by a generous donation!
