Job Overview
Portage Path Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Security / Maintenance Technician.
The ideal candidate will assist the Maintenance / Safety Superintendent in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all Portage Path facilities. Successful candidates will perform routine maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance / Safety Superintendent. In addition, candidates will report and correct unusual conditions or malfunctioning items (i.e: heating, electrical systems, plumbing systems, etc.). The successful candidates must have the ability to help provide a safe and secure, orderly atmosphere, as needed, to ensure safety of clients and staff. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to de-escalate disruptive behaviors when needed.
Experience:
- Successful candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Candidates must maintain a professional image in mannerisms and interactions with clients, the general public, outside contractors, and Portage Path staff.
- A minimum of one (1) year of related experience preferred in the areas of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical maintenance and repairs, preferred.
- Candidates must be physically fit to perform job responsibilities.
- Must have driving record in good standing.
