Summit County Outreach Team (SCOUT)
The SCOUT Program is a partnership with the City of Akron and the County of Summit ADM Board. The SCOUT team is a clinician from Portage Path Behavioral Health, an Akron City Fire/EMS, and an Akron City Police Officer who are dispatched by 911. They respond to calls in Akron where mental health is a concern, but the individual is not a danger to themself or others.
This team is on-call Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
