AKRON, Ohio (July 6, 2026) – For the fourth year, our community came together on the golf course to champion local mental health. The Links to Mental Health Golf Outing took place on June 26 at Raintree Golf & Event Center.
This event not only unified players but also benefited vital client care and support services at Portage Path Behavioral Health. This network of non-profit behavioral health clinics has served Summit County for more than 50 years. Approximately 85,000 adults here live with some form of mental health condition, according to NAMI Summit County. Portage Path is committed to guiding individuals on their journey to recovery from mental illness and substance use disorders, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.
The Links to Mental Health golf outing was open to individuals as well as twosome and foursome teams. Players competed for prizes in several game categories, such as longest drive. Lunch, dinner, and post-tournament awards were included with registration. A raffle with specialty items from local merchants was also part of the fun.
Portage Path is grateful to all the golfers and sponsors who helped make the event a success.
