Portage Path Welcomes New Board Members

This year, we welcome two new board members to Portage Path’s Board of Trustees. Portage Path wisely chooses board members that support our mission and have a passion for mental healthcare.


Michael Thomas started in the automotive business in 2003 and worked his way to help resuscitate multiple brands for Bernie Moreno Companies. In 2017, Rolls-Royce Cleveland took second place for Dealer of the year in the United States – Michael’s most significant accomplishment. Michael is now the Executive Manager at Infiniti of Akron on Arlington Road. Outside of his automotive career, Michael enjoys spending time with his family in Uniontown where they reside, as well as traveling and playing golf.


Linda Subich received her B.S. in Psychology from University of Wisconsin and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The Ohio State University. Linda’s entire career has been at The University of Akron, first as a faculty member in the Department of Psychology, then as chair of the department, and now as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies for the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences. In her free time, Linda enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband Carl and son Stefan.
